Hannerose Katterfeld, opera and concert singer
Hannerose Katterfeld completed her studies under with professor
Elsbeth Plehn at the college of music in Dresden in 1961. She
passed her studies with distinction.
After that she got an engagement as a first alto on the stages
in Saxony. Since 1968 she has worked as a freelance opera and
concert singer. Until 1988 she permanent made a guest appearance
at the German state opera and at "Komische Oper" in
Berlin.
Hannerose Katterfeld sang at the Handel-Festival in Halle and
she gave concerts in Europe, Asia, Africa and in South America.
She got a prize of version of the "German record" for
"The last shot" by Siegfried Matthus.
Since 1988 Hannerose Katterfeld has taught at the college of
music "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin and at the Saxon state
opera in Dresden.
